What if I told you that a week of schooling for a child in a developing country was as cheap as the shirt on your back? Najat Murillo, the founder of Live the Give, has done the math (along with numerous other studies, so don't just take her word for it), and it's true. Although the price may seem small, the fact is that accessible, effective education is simply out of reach for many children in developing countries.

An elementary school teacher herself, Najat has witnessed first hand how a caring and stimulating environment can change a child's life for the better, and now, she's doing her part to make that a reality for kids around the world.
With each tee purchased from the shop, Live the Give donates $3 toward funding global education initiatives. Each tee is created in WRAP certified factories (which ensures that minimum standards are met when it comes to ethical treatment, fair wages, and more — the certification is a great one to look for when searching for ethical brands), with cotton-blend materials, making them well-made and incredibly comfortable.
I received their slouchy tank in black and their slouchy V in light grey and to say I've worn them constantly is almost an understatement. Try as I may to reach for statement pieces, basics are still my go-to's and both of my Live the Give tees filled gaps in my closet that I was lacking up till now. (I know...who doesn't have a basic grey tee? Get with it, Liv).
Although I can typically be found wearing these pieces with a pair of jeans or half-tucked into my mom-shorts, I tried to style them with (a little bit) more effort to show how versatile a basic tank and tee can be. And really, these looks only scratch the surface of what these pieces have been in my own closet.
