All in Slow Living
As awesome as Fall can be, it is oh so easy to get worn down by the end of the season. With the beginning of a new school year, new groups, less time to get outside... and all the other things that come with Fall, I usually find myself craving a break around mid-october.
Aj and I are taking our first big trip away from the girls during the first week of November and- in all honesty- I'm not sure how much longer I can wait! It's been so long since we've gotten away and I'm really desperate for some kid-free time with my man.
That said, I've been brainstorming ways to occupy myself (you know, other than the keeping children alive part of my day) to help lessen my "desperateness".
Today is the day! I've been so excited to write this post- I'm finally ready to share my full Fall capsule. If you're unsure of what a capsule wardrobe is, or are looking for tips on how to plan one, check out part one here.
This is my first season creating a capsule wardrobe and I'm already addicted. The process of picking pieces and planning is so fun as is the freedom of knowing that I have 30 pieces that I love to wear and know will look good together. The feeling of looking at my closet (full of SO MUCH clothing) and thinking I have nothing to wear is gone and I absolutely love the cohesive feel of my wardrobe now.
My daughter woke up at 4:30 am this morning. The rain that had started when when we went to bed was still falling in a quiet, rhythmic pattern outside, reminding me of how little time had passed since I closed my eyes. The house was cold- our little space heater tries to heat our big house, but ends up being carried from room to room, reminding me of how quickly Winter will be here.
Mornings are tired, grumpy, half-hearted times- usually. The term "morning person" could not be less true of me.
