Sweet little girl,
Every time someone asks me how old you are, I have to do a mental double take. Because HOW IN THE WORLD ARE YOU ALREADY EIGHT MONTHS?! It seems like you were just a tiny newborn snuggled up on my chest.

With all passions, it's easy to get lost in the "dreaminess" of it. The shiny, perfect, idea of our dream that we've built up in our mind- you know what it is for you. For me, it's owning less STUFF and inspiring others to simplify, both with their stuff and with the "heart clutter" too.
We live in a world that values excess. Simple living says I don't need "more", I need "quality". Quality memories made in the moments you focused on being present. Quality pieces in your home that aren't just random clutter. Quality relationships forged in authenticity, not drama or a need to fit in. And, of course, quality clothes that help you focus on the present moment and love the way you look.
I've been in a bit of a creative slump lately. (And I think slump is probably the most accurate/most unattractive word to use to describe it.) I have lots of ideas for blog posts, pieces I want to write and things I'm dying to share with you all, but when it gets down to doing the actual work- I start drawing a blank.
I've been mentally sparring with this post in my mind for a few months now. And since the title is just about as straightforward as it gets, I don't need to bore you with a mysterious intro to get you guessing at what I'm trying to say. I'll be as Earnest Hemmingway-like as I can, and get right to the meat of it, because, in a way, I think that's what minimalism is all about.
I've been dying to share this at home date night with you all for so long! We decided to try something new this month and have a date night shipped right to our door step.
Sound too good to be true? It kind of was, in fact. I heard about Date Crates on Instagram and after reading a little bit more about them, I knew I had to try it out- so we ordered one (actually it was a gift from my mother-in-law. Thanks Chris! ;)
