Ethical Bean || Fair Trade Coffee at the Push of a Button
My Saturday morning coffee is one of my favorite rituals of the week. My husband works early mornings on the weekends, which is always a drag, but once I'm able to pull myself out of bed (usually at the beck and call for chocolate milk from my three year old who mysteriously crawled into bed with me sometime during the night...) my morning coffee is what gets me going.
For the past month or so, I've been drinking nothing but Ethical Bean coffee and I've been loving the variety and flavors that their coffees offer.
The Canada based roasting company offers coffees ranging from light to dark with sweeter fruity, notes, to bold and chocolate-y notes for those who love a rich espresso. Each bean is organic and fair trade — you can even trace their coffees to the exact point of origin using their app and the QR code on the back of each bag.
Even if manual brewing isn't your cup of tea (or coffee, in this case) Ethical Bean is one of the first brands I've encountered to create a compostable single serve coffee pod for those who love their Kurig's in the morning.
Most people who know me know that I can talk about coffee (preferably while drinking it too,) for hours on end. They've recently launched something that adds further convenience and immediacy to their large ranges of coffees as well. For those of you who are avid Amazon shoppers, you've likely heard of the new "Amazon Dash Button" craze, but once I heard about it, it took me a while to figure out what the little gadget was.
Ethical Bean has jumped on the Dash Button bandwagon and now, you can buy their coffees with a push of a button — perfect for people like Aj and I who go through a pound per week on a good week.
I've been keeping my Dash Button on top of my coffee canister (they come with an adhesive back,) to allow for easy access when I need it AND to keep it out of reach of grabby toddler hands.
The dash button is connected to wi-fi, so all you have to do is connect it via your Amazon app, choose which coffees you want to re-fill each time (my favorite so far is their Exotic and Classic roasts!) and push the button when you need some coffee pronto.
They've married fair trade, organic, expertly crafted coffee with cutting edge technology and I can't get over it.
